A Distinguished Lectureship named for Bob Pritzker has been established with the Biomedical Engineering Society (www.bmes.org). The lectureship will be presented annually at the national meeting of the Society. The Inaugural lecture is September 28th, 2007 in Los Angeles.

Initial funds for endowing this Lectureship have been donated by several members of the Pritzker family, the Pritzker Institute of Biomedical Science and Engineering, and various friends of Bob Pritzker.

Seed grants are being made available in the area of biomedical science and engineering through the Pritzker Institute.

The deadline for submission of proposals is October 15th and awards will be made around November 1st. Five to six grants will be awarded.
