Harry Francis Mallgrave is Professor of History and Theory, doctoral faculty, and director of the International Center for Sustainable New Cities at the Illinois Institute of Technology. For nearly two decades Dr. Mallgrave served as the Editor of Architecture and Aesthetics for the “Text and Documents Series” of the Getty Research Institute. He has written numerous books and articles on the history and theory of architecture and received the Alice David Hitchcock Award from the Society of Architectural Historians for his intellectual biography, Gottfried Semper:Architect of the Nineteenth Century.
