Workshop on Supervision and Fault-Tolerant Operation
of Distributed and Networked Processes

Our workshop was a success!

The workshop covered the supervision and fault-tolerant operation of distributed and networked processes. Various approaches for fault-tolerant operation were discussed. Self-organizing networks for reliable and multi-objective operation of manufacturing and computer systems were introduced. A framework for Monitoring, Analysis, Diagnosis, and Control with Agent-Based System (MADCABS) developed by ITR funding from NSF was presented and its capabilities were illustrated with case studies that supervise and/or control networked processes, such as reactor arrays and computer networks.
